Lady Tysha's Feast

Tysha greeted the merchant lord with yet another smile.

"My forefathers have stood next to the Silver Throne for centuries, my lord. A Griffon's appearance is hardly a cause for concern. For the time being, enjoy the food and company. Perhaps you would care for more mead, my lord?"

Vealdis raises his eyebrows.

''I myself stood behind the Silver Throne, I even aided the king's forces in the battle that put an end to the Koningur, but no riders come to me at this hour of the day, or should I say night? But truth be told, it is indeed not my concern.''

Veldis looks at the ebony lion, still being hold by the servant.

''A gift? I had brought something but I was going to hand it to you at the end of the feast, alas that will not seem right anymore.''

Vealdis walks to the exit of the tent and whispers to Carolan that he must got the present for the hostess. He then walks back to lady Tysha.

''A mead will be fine, thank you.'' he smilled.

Tysha motioned for a servant, who promptly brought mead for merchant lord.

"When I say stood behind, I do mean literally, my lord," she said, with a smile. The knight she had handed the letter to returned and she moved to greet him.

After he whispered to the gold-wearing Tysha, she turned to view the whole tent.

"My lords. It would seem that duty is conspiring against our hunt tomorrow. I have received word that the King in Sarleon will summon us to Marleons. I will prepare provisions for yourselves and your retainers, of course. Tomorrow my soldiers will escort you all to this place of the King's summons."

Quiris put his arms on the tale, and leaned his chin on them. He looked at Valdir, as if gauging his worth.

"I am Quiris Corax of Ravenfort, from the northern Steppe."

Whatever Quiris was going to say next was cut off by their host and her proclamation of the King's invitation. Quirus raised is eyebrows at that.

"I'd be, I wonder what requires both His Majesty's and our attention. Anyway, you sound like a good lad, Valdir. What made you seek your fortune in the farthest corner of Pendor?"

Quirus took an apple and bit it as he waited for the answer.

Vincent lifted his cup to the Lady after she was finished speaking.

"And we thank you for your protection and food my lady. May I ask when we intend to leave?"



[OOC: And what time is right now?]

Tysha gave a nod in response to the raised cup.

"After breakfast tomorrow. I would not have my guests on horseback without a proper meal first."


((OOC: Later evening, I suppose.))

"Honestly, my brother. But I'm afraid I have to cut our conversation short. I have to send a messenger to my steward to prepare for the King."

Valdir tried to be as courteous as possible as he bowed to Quirus, but in his haste he ignored all others as he returned to his own tent.

Vealids nod to Lady Tysha and bows.

''Than I will be off aswell, a good night to you.''

Vealdis walked out of the main tent, Carolan following him to his own tent.

A large, deep drum sounded not far from the tent.

"The hour is late, my lords. I invite you all the remain as long as you wish, the food and wine will remain as long as your hunger and thirst remain. I wish you all a good evening."

With the conclusion of the festivities, Simon Lane headed off in the direction of his private tent. The lady was pleased with the gift, and Simon caught a glance of his new neighbors on the Steppes. His objective at the feast accomplished, Simon Lane disappeared into his tent briefly. When he came back out, he was fully armored and had his trusty Battle Axe at his side. The Count then mounted his personal steed and set off to the southwest, the direction of Marleons, alone...

Along the way, Simon went over what he learned during the feast. The Astrean man was known as Vincent Margrove. Besides the fact he cared for his family, the warrior had little to go on for this particular noble. Vealdis, the noble who briefly introduced himself before running off, was a merchant from Windholm. He seemed to hint at his ambition on ruling the Steppes, something the Count had to keep an eye on. That is, of course, if he could control his own men. Valdir Bazzano, the lord with an odd name, seemed to be a veteran of the wars. However, did he show yearning for a simpler life than a noble? From what Simon has seen from this man, perhaps he could prove to be an ally in the upcoming struggle, but Valdir's ambitious brother may pose to be a problem. Now, a man worth Simon's respect was Quiris Corax. A count that needs no words, his mortal shell and physical condition provided more than enough information of what horrors he went through. If Simon recalled correctly, Ravenfort happened to be near Simon's own estate. Perhaps the two could become allies, as Simon had no intention to cause problems to his war-torn neighbor. Lastly, there was Lady Tysha herself. Simon Lane kept a close eye on her, hosting a feast to befriend as many lords as possible was an excellent move in case she decided to start any ambition. The classic saying held true here, keep thy allies close and thy enemies closer.

War was coming. With war comes the games of nobles. The signs were evident in the ambitions of each lord and lady as they fought each other in the starry skies above. Clouds would clash together in the distance, relaying the sounds of battle and hinting at more participates. As he warrior continued his journey, the storm clouds blockaded the starry sight overhead, preparing for another clash of armies. Once again, the thunder sounded off in the distance, and soon afterwards it began to rain.

One man, alone in the night, continued his journey to Marleons. There, at Marleons, would reveal whether the warrior's predictions would be correct or not. At Marleons, perhaps the Count could finally bring about an ambition of his own, reclaiming the rightful home of the House of Lane...

Shortly after dawn, a servant awaited each lord outside of their tents. The lords were ushered back into the large tent, where an assortment of fruits, breads, and cheeses were waiting for them. Lady Tysha did not appear.

An armed escort was prepared for each lord, and their horses had been saddled for them.

Only as they prepared to leave did Tysha show herself, and begin to journey to Marleons.
