Im setting up a vote for the siege question.

As for the political one, I see spending gold as also bribing and influencing people to support your claim. It can be interpreted in a number of ways IC I guess.

As for claims, how about 60 gold/prestige to get a claim on a title, that can be argued at Council? It could turn into a diplomatic claim at that point.

Considering our mindsets, my suggestion of the claims was largely pointless. Unless someone has another idea about how to handle prestige-related vassalage, I would rather vote on just skipping that one. At least with the diplomatic option we still have to form voting factions and can 'war' in the Council. Just paying seems like a reward for the passive, non-raider style the game isn't set up for.

Should I make the poll about political vassalage? If so, I would phrase it this way:

Q: How shall the political method of acquiring a vassal be handled?

1. Allow gold and prestige to be bid, and counter bid, up to the pre-set requirements to impose vassalage. (Mordred's original post method)

2. Allow gold and/or prestige to be bid, and counter bid, to acquire a claim to be the rightful liege of the character. (Requires clarification on how claim shall be handled)

3. Scrape this until we've clarified the options, or simply just drop it.

Is it possible to hold two councillor positions? Because if not, and you still get minus 100 renown for refusing a title/position.. Simon is in for a difficult time.
