The Eastern Council : Session One

Vincent looked around and nearly everyone was gone.

"Would you mind if we talk while walking, this way don't waste any time and can be back home earlier."

While Vincent waited for Laisha to stand up he continued talking.

"If I may be so blunt, I suggest we work together, at least as long as we have a common enemy. Countess Eadburga in the north must be planning something. Since her husband died she has withdrawn herself into her holdings and nothing gets out of the county except for the Kings gold. I don't suggest we strike and attack, I just want us to work together in defense against her."

Godwin gazed briefly at the man, taking measure. He grinned slightly.

"It appears were already having one. What would you speak of?"

"Please inform Count Andros that I have need to speak to him, either at my county or his. It is a matter of importance. I don't feel it would be appropriate to speak of it in this setting."

Laisha rose and start walking to the door. "Do you truly believe the countess a threat?" she asked. "She seems relatively benign to me...."

Godwin regarded Everard skeptically before giving an incline of his head.

"Very well. I shall inform the Count of your desire to meet, though I cannot guarantee when. Forgive me, but I must be off East to deliver my report"

With that Godwin strode out of the castle and back into the war torn streets of Marleons.
