As I said IC, how does scouting parties work?

I don't think anyone currently has a command level higher than 2, which can lead up to 4 units. (There's also the Marshall quirk, but I don't think anyone has that either.) The requirement for scouting is 5 units, or 500 men.

Is scouting done on the border of the Steppe, by not crossing into Mystmountain territory and counted as a miscellaneous action (thus requiring no commander)?

That is a maximum of 300 units.

I imagined it as a a miscellaneous action (no commander required, but it might be benefical). The intended purpose is to watch for any growing hordes so they might be eliminated or at least prepared for.

Assume you have facts equating these on your parchments.

Well we're only giving it out if troop limits are a problem. And even then, the authority of the office gives you power during campaigns, not during normal play

It doesnt make sense to go "oh i patrol with more units because i was elected marshal." In character the trait can be justified by more people being under your banner due to everyone working together. As the marshal is supreme commander in any united campaigns it makes sense.

NEVERMIND!

I agree with everyone before me. On the Marshall/quirk issue that is. Award the quirk temporarily for the Marshal, but it can only be used during official campaigns..or risk penalties (assuming you find a good IC way of deceiving people that it is called for)

And yes, the North won the first annual Steppe Tourney.

Next week is the final week of the season, week/turn 4. I don't remember if we do council sessions in week 4 or in week 1.

If the former, then we need to elect the governor... yesterday, and begin the council today. If the latter, we elect on saturday and begin on sunday. Unless I'm confused further than I realize. >.>

... I thought Council sessions were done during the first week of each season? In my mind, that is what we have done thus far (Season 1 and Season 2).

Starting the 26th of August, it will be the final week of Season 2. Thus, the council session will not begin until next week (September 2nd). This is also the information posted in the sticky.

(I assume Seasons are four weeks each, about a months time)
