Aftermath Reborn OOC

So, it's here at last! At least in small part. There are a couple of admin details we need to get down;

1. Should there be separate boards for each Player? I am hoping that this will not be needed as I should like to keep as much of the game mechanicy stuff out in the open. My plan is for each Player to take turns administrating the game, basically taking it in turns to cruch the (hopefully!) minimal numbers. This will however mean that things like troop composition and movements will be public. Is this acceptable?

I think its fine, this way it can essentially be player run.

Oh wow, just been looking at new features of this forum. Apparently you can flag specific boards as "Roleplaying" which enables die rolls and other RP specific features!

Assuming your character's first name is Tysha, you could consider some of these. None of them mean anything and were made up on the spot:
Ladigan
Regalie
Stramholm
Civalin

Alternatively think of a theme and search for a foreign word for that. Worked with Gilaver in my opinion.

I'll be opening this forum to the public sometime tomorrow I think. If there are any more rule changes, please let me know soon.

I think the Signatures on this board work a bit differently than the ones I'm used to.

Signatures here seem to be added / updated on a per post / edit basis, so using signatures to keep track of information may be a bad idea as only the latest post / edit of that person will reflect the updated signatures. All previous posts seem to use the signature that was active during that time frame.

Is there any way to keep Signatures constant throughout all posts using this forum software?

Is anyone up for a pre-RP scene? I was thinking of a feast/general-party, that way we have a good IC reason for only our main characters to be there. And reasons to avoid duels/fights/treason/war-starting. Of course, given our track record with such things we could run into trouble with that last one. Particularly since we don't have our counties and thus no idea how the balance of power will be set up.

Anyway, enough of the reasons not to do this. Is anyone interested? It's something I'd like to have Tysha host at some point anyway, but another character or NPC could do it too. I don't foresee a need for OOC GMing, but if it does arise then the guards will simply break up the fight... Mordred can take charge of that if need be.

I'm always up for a IC brawl.. I mean scene.

Unless someone is opposed to pre-RP, given that this will be a competitive game eventually and all.

I do have an idea for the start of the roleplay, which will likely kick off mid-week next week. It should get everyone together and introduce the first Eastern Council too (just as a heads up).

Just post as you please, I don't imagine everyone attending would arrive at the same time. The wrap up will be easy for this... we just fade-to-black from wherever we are at. The rest of the meal is served, it is eaten, booze flows freely, then everyone leaves. (And Tysha has a huge bill to pay!)

If possible, could we have Characters made by Sunday; this way I can allocate Counties on Monday and kick things off on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Your characters can interact with each other, you know!

And we're sooo gonna have a problem in the southern hexes. With all three being selected, one person will only be able to raid into another PC's land from the start!

Than I guess Valdir can be selected anywhere on the map. But, close to Laria and the Noldor forest seems like southern hexes as well.

The Laria-south ones aren't included in the final list of regions. Only the three closest to Marleons are 'South'. One of them is landlocked by the other two. It should make things more interesting with our small starting group, really. But we'll see!

I'm half-tempted to change to frontier or full random for the chance to get hex 20 with its juicy high wealth and high manpower... but the odds, the odds!
