Aftermath Reborn OOC

Oh I haven't looked at the map in that way. I have no clue which hexes are wealthy or have many wasted men.

I originally had a vassal of Marleons story in mind, so I cared to be close. I care less now, but I still think the Sarleon-area is a better choice for Tysha. Of course being in the North to conquer the Mystmountains seems fun too... I suppose that will have to wait until Tysha is chosen as the Marshal to invade them! >.>

I never cared much for the location, but I figured it would be more logical that the (ambitious) Morten bought the land from someone they fought in the noble wars, hence the 'martial negotiations'..Thus I chose the south.

I kinda care for the location as I enjoy being placed near water...kinda my thing. All the Northen Hexes are with water so it was kinda easy...

It would be rather cool to have either the western-most north or south hex. Then when raiding it's opposite you can use boats for flavor! Piracy ftw.

Silly girl, Pendor doesn't allow boats... ((Otherwise traveling to Rane would be hell of a lot easier)

How are we going about the election of the first governor? Mainly I mean how do we manage the meeting until someone is selected/elected?

It seems like it would be easiest to either have Mordred play an official handling the first meeting, or roll a die and randomly select the first governor (by a combination of the Duke of Marleons, the King, and other interested parties). Oooor it could go to the character that controls the weakest/poorest county as a consolation prize.

I'm sure we'll have more feasts. Tysha will certainly want to host another once the castle is in place. Yes, she really is spending the treasury of the old king on feasts!

Anyway. If the plan remains the same, Mordred will roll for counties tomorrow and then we will start the real event wednesday. I'll likely have Tysha close the feast tuesday in that case. So another 2 1/2 days to talk about random things, my lord not-priestly!

Also, does anyone else think Mordred's system would be perfect for ASoIaF game? Add in some kind of rolling chart for Valyrian swords, warging, green dreams, other boons... and of course the very slim chance of a dragon, and it would be a spectacular game! (I played a forum game in the setting, and in another game with the same ruleset they did a christmas boost where they all rolled for free stuff... there was a 1% chance of getting a dragon. One player did, and thus had a dragon! An Iron Islander, too. Sadly dragons were easily killed by an expensive unit that would suicide.)

Those suiciders with their wildfire jackets...would seem fun, but PoP seems more fun.

At least the statue is in the main tent now. Hopefully Simon will be able to formally deliver it before the feast ends and the roleplay begins.

No aSoIaF! too much magic to account for.. too many rules to make it fair.

Our own forum game thingy will also have the good elements from game of thrones if we do it correctly...betrayal and backstabbing...some of it might start to unfold even as I speak.

ASOIAF magic wouldn't be that hard to balance and implement actually, as much of it is less overt (Valaryan Steel, Dragons, White Walkers... it's only the red priestess which might cause problems).

Oeh Mordred makes an appearance.. or well, a Griffon at least.

Than we found out the king had been killed and that we need to find his missing son to stop demon spawning in the world by letting his son transform into a dragon...

I'm afraid I can't catch that reference, but it is nice to see Griffons appear here.
